
Student Space List and Summer 2025 Access Hours

Reed has a number of spaces for students to meet, lounge, hold events and meetings, and dedicate to specific interests. The list below indicates the variety of spaces available, as well as their general locations and access hours.
Please review the space access guidelines before accessing spaces.

Student Center
The Student Center is open to students for lounging, studying, and meeting. There are several spaces within the Student Center that can be reserved for individual or group use.
Hours: 8:30 AM to midnight, 7 days a week (card swipe access required during academic breaks)

Student Union (SU)
The Student Union is closed during the summer months.
During the academic year when classes are in session, the building is open 24 hours a day (except during college breaks). If the doors are locked, students may swipe in through the northwest doors.

These spaces are closed during the summer months. During the academic year, spaces are accessible by special permission.

Gray Campus Center (GCC) building
During the summer, the Gray Campus Center building is open 8 AM to midnight, 7 days a week. During non-business hours, Reed community members must swipe in to the building for access.
The following student spaces are located in the GCC and are closed during the summer unless otherwise noted:
MLLL comic book library (GCC 46): Reed’s very own comic book library, containing an ever-expanding selection of single issues, trades, manga, graphic novels, and zines. Students may swipe in during summer hours.
Pride Center (GCC 043): a welcoming space for all students that promotes the experiences of LGBTQ+ students. The center also offers menstrual products provided by the student-led group Period Kollectiv. Students may swipe in during summer hours.
Pool hall (GCC 059): the space contains six full sized pool tables for drop in use, or join weekly pool hall tournaments organized by the student Pool Hall managers. Students may swipe in during summer hours.
Darkroom (GCC 044): provides the tools, resources, and training necessary to delve into the world of black-and-white photography. Managed by the Student Darkroom signators, training sessions are offered each semester and are required for room access.
Publications office (GCC 047): working space for Reed’s various student publications.
Honor Council office (GCC 048): meeting space and office hours for Reed’s Honor Council.
Print Shoppe (GCC 45): a workshop room for students to create silk screening prints. Managed by the student Print Shoppe signators, equipment training is offered each semester and is required for room access.
Info Shoppe (GCC 053): a multiuse space that can be reserved for student group meetings. To view the current room schedule, visit the .
Old Dorm Block (ODB) basement
The following spaces are closed during the summer:
Bike Co-op: a student-led co-op space that offers students free bike repair support.
ARG storage room (for ARG signators)
Drum Korps storage room (for Drum Korps signators)
Renn Fayre storage room (for Renn Fayre czars)
